Epic games have reportedly changed the speed of the storm circles of Fortnite following player feedback.

Chapter 5 Season 1Underground just recently launched, thus introducing a host of new updates to the battle royale, and this is inclusive of new sights to explore, a train that reportedly spans the entirety of the island, five bosses, and of course Peter Griffin from Family Guy.

What You Need to Know About Fortnite’s New Season

And as usual, the season in question also came with with tweaks to mechanics, such as new movement animations as well as other quality-of-life changes, however, players and gamers have noticed that the storm circle of the game seems to be much quicker than it usually is.

Player Feedback in Regards to Storm Circles

And over on Reddit, one user reportedly asked, “What’s with the storm circles this chapter?” and going on to explain that “it feels like they’re way faster than previous chapters. In early game you’re already running from the storm in most matches, where in other seasons that only really happened in late game.”

The user also added that at the end of a recent match, during their final battle, a circle “spawned so far away from the one we were all fighting in that none of us could even make it there before dying.”

It however looks like the sentiment isn’t isolated, as other players in question have also been experiencing the very same type of problem, as seen in a separate Reddit post.

Epic has Reportedly Dropped an Update to Solve the Issue

Epic thankfully, is just aware of the problem in question and has already made a balancing update so that storm circles one and two will now take longer to close in on players.

“We’ve heard some feedback from players saying that the storm is harder to escape since Chapter 5 Season 1 launch, so we’ve decided to make some balance adjustments: Storm Circles one and two now take 20 seconds longer to close,” the Fortnite Status account in a recent Twitter post explained.

“We’ll continue to monitor our Storm data and make additional changes if needed.”
