A handful of FIFA’s Players would be reimagined as Marvel Superheroes for the game’s Ultimate Team Mode. Their FIT Hero Cards in the game collectibles that were officially featured in the FIFA 22 and present iconic moments of players’ careers – would get illustrated by Marvel artists in the style of classic superhero characters.

Finally, EA has revealed five of their special FUT Hero Cards so far, which include those that are in the US’s Landon Donovan, Ivory Coast’s Yaya Toure, Portugal’s Ricardo Carvalho, South Korea’s Park Ji-sung, and Italy’s Claydio Marchisio.

Superpowered Feet

Each of the players has been shown wearing a Marvel-Esque costume, although the inspiration behind some is a lot easier to identify than others. Donovan’s Picture is heavily reminiscent of Captain America, While Ji-Sung’s New strip looks a lot similar to Iron Man’s armor. The design of Toure talks about Wakandan Palace, the Citadel, although his costume does not look directly inspired by any single character from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

While Marvel keeps on bringing more of its classic characters to Disney Plus, EA’s is getting more creative. Cloud a superpowered Landon Donovan takes on she-hulk in a fight? Maybe not, but he would probably score a few more goals while on the pitch.

As stated by an EA FAQ, the special designs are expected to roll out on November 11 when FIFA 23’s Post-Launch World cup mode gets released. Two FUT Hero Cards would be made available for each player, a base version, which is expected to include a standard photo of the player and would be included in the game at launch; and the special World cup version that features better player stats.
