Flourish Africa Grant for Female Entrepreneurs Program was created to support and promote African female-owned businesses over 5 years, in addition to funding, successful entrepreneurs will receive training and mentorship.
The training curriculum is structured to educate and prepare female entrepreneurs for their business journey, helping them to strive and scale unimaginable heights. The training also gives female entrepreneurs an enabling platform for practical skill development, mentoring, business capital, and access to the marketplace.

Flourish Africa is a renowned women empowerment movement, it was founded by Mrs Folorunso Alakija to serve as an agent to foster the empowerment and development of the female gender.
The initiative was borne out of Mrs Folorunso’s Passion for seeing women become truly fulfilled and empowered, hence, the creation of the movement to establish a platform for both female entrepreneurs and all female adults to access critical information to help them advance their careers, the standard of living, love and relationship and inspirational messages from leading change-makers.

Criteria for Flourish Africa Grant for Female Entrepreneurs Qualification
To qualify to receive this award, Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Candidates must be between the ages of 18yrs to 50yrs. Those outside the required age bracket will not be considered
- Only female applicants can apply. In the case where the business is co-owned by a man, applicants must have at least 51% ownership of the business, with proof.
- To be eligible, Applicants should have access to internet-enabled devices for training and must be willing to commit to virtual training for a period of 4 months.
- The Applicants’ businesses must be in the Start-up phase to be eligible to participate
- Ideal businesses must be based in Lagos, Abuja, or Port Harcourt.
