Facebook Pages Redesign and New Admin Controls

Facebook recently announced that the Pages experience has been redesigned to allow users to spot bios, posts, and other important details easily. With the new layout, people will be able to follow Pages directly from comments and recommendations posts. The “Like” button will be removed as Followers give public figures a stronger indication of their fan base.

Newsfeed Introduction to Pages

Facebook has now brought News Feed to Pages. This would allow users to discover and join conversations, follow trends, interact with peers, and engage with fans using Pages. The News Feed would also suggest new connections including public figures, Pages, Groups, and trending content that a Page cares about. Comments from public figures will also be bumped to the top of the comments section.

Facebook Adds New Page Management Features

Facebook has added some excellent revamped management tools and admin controls to its Pages that make it super easy to navigate and manage your Page. The main navigation menu is located on the left-hand side of the Page.

In addition to making your Page tools easier to find, Facebook now makes it simpler than ever to assign roles to Page admins you trust. You can give admins partial or full access to your Page, depending on their level of responsibility. Assignments and permissions are clearer and simpler to associate with the admins who need access. This means that you’ll now be able to grant varying levels of access to manage specific tasks including Insights, Ads, Content, and Community Activity & Messages. This will also ensure account safety and integrity.

More on Facebook Page Management Features

Page admin assignments are now based on tasks rather than general roles. That way, you can easily select what your team members are allowed to do from inside your Page. Whether you need someone to run ads, post content, or review insights, you can give that person only the permissions they need to get their tasks done.

Furthermore, the company stated that it has improved its ability to detect activity that is not allowed on the platform (such as hate speech, violent, sexual or spammy content, and impersonation). And added that they are continuing to expand the visibility of a verified badge to make it easier to identify posts and comments from authentic Pages and profiles.

Pages also have a cool new Question and Answer feature. Add a topic for your followers to ask you about. As you answer them, questions and answers become part of a stack that fans can swipe through. (However, for now, this feature is only available on your computer.)

If you’re logged in as your Page, you’ll also now have access to a dedicated Pages News Feed to enable users to discover more relevant content, as well as interact with peers and friends. This News Feed will also suggest new connections specifically for your page, whether relevant public figures, groups, or other Pages.
