The Internship Immersion Program 2022 of Young Graduates in ECOWAS Institutions is open for Applications. The Program lasts one year over a period of 12 months maximum {Non-renewable}.
The Internship Immersion Program is carried out in the Departments, Agencies, Representations and Institutions of ECOWAS, or any other place duly designated by ECOWAS;

The ideal young graduate benefiting from the Program is expected to produces a report at the end of the internship in three copies, one copy being sent to the HDSA Department, the second copy sent to the user department and the third copy for the individual record of the intern in person;

Brief History of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS)
The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), was established on the 28th May 1975 with the signing of the treaty of Lagos. It is a regional political and economic union of about fifteen countries located in West Africa.
These countries collectively comprises an area of 5,114,162 km2 (1,974,589 sq mi). In 2015 the entire region had an estimated population of over 349 million.
ECOWAS has a mission to promote economic integration across the region. Meanwhile a revised version of the treaty was agreed and signed on 24 July 1993 in Cotonou.
ECOWAS also serves as a peacekeeping force in the region, the member states occasionally sends joint military forces to intervene in the member countries at times of political instability and unrest.

Eligibility Criteria for ECOWAS Internship Immersion Program Qualification
- Internship Immersion Program is open to young graduates from the ECOWAS Member States,
- Applicants must meet the Age criteria of 35 years or less.
- An Applicant must be a citizen of an ECOWAS Member States;
- He/She must posses a Certificate, at the Bachelor (BSc), Master, PhD or equivalent certificate;
- All applicants must Submit: A request to the ECOWAS Commissioner for Human Development and Social Affairs (HDSA)
- This request is expected to contain the candidate’s motivation with expression of his centers of interest, and also his commitment to abide by the terms and conditions.
ECOWAS Internship Immersion Program Selection Criteria
- The selection process for the Internship Immersion Programme in ECOWAS Institutions is made by a Technical Selection Committee;
- Please note that only selected candidates will be contacted for the rest of the process of the Internship
- For applicants living in Abuja, Nigeria interns will be required to participate in person or online (for those not living in Abuja) in any information or internship feedback meeting convened by the Program Coordination accordingly).

- An official Academic certificate or its equivalent from recognize instruction.
