The fellowship package includes comprehensive financial support, providing recipients with a sense of security as they embark on their journey. The award encompasses:

  • Successful applicants will receive a cash prize of up to $24,000 annually to cover the tuition fees plus other mandatory fees for a two-year master’s degree at a recognized institution in the United States.
  • A generous stipend of $18,000 for each academic year, which covers expenses like room, board, books, and other education-related costs.
  • Additional support of up to $10,000 per year to cater to stipend, housing, transportation, and related expenses during summer placements.

Payne Fellows are expected to obtain a graduate degree in international development or a field pertinent to the work of USAID Foreign Service.
