The Doc Society Climate Story Fund aims to back impactful storytelling and strategies from various corners of the globe that can help audiences envision a fair transition and inspire them to take action to turn these visions into reality.
Doc Society Climate Story Fund 2024
Priority will be given to applicants who creatively explore how communities are currently experimenting with new paths towards a safer and fairer future for all; and how governments and civil society are countering the efforts of the fossil fuel industry to impede radical changes to our way of life; and how leaders are steadfastly navigating complexity while committed to addressing past injustices.
The fund is particularly interested in stories that demonstrate how climate action can lead to abundance, how systems are being redesigned to be more inclusive, and how opportunities are being created without leaving anyone behind. They are not looking for stories filled with technical jargon and facts, but rather for stories that deeply resonate with a universal affection for place, community, and future generations.
Benefit
- The Doc Society Climate Story Fund provides funding of up to $150,000 to support the completion of creative nonfiction projects and impact pilots associated with finished creative nonfiction and fiction projects.
