Disney is at the moment set to release a 100-film Blu-ray collection on November 14th dubbed the Disney Legacy Animated Film Collection (via The Wrap). Preorders for the Walmart exclusive in question are available at the moment at Walmart’s website and we however regret to inform you that it goes for $1,499.96.

The collection in question is inclusive of movies from both Disney and Pixar, which are all crammed into three volumes of discs that span the entire feature film history of Disney dating from 1937’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarves to this year’s Elemental.

Details of the Collection

Disney publicity executive Chris Bess in an email to The Verge,  stated that there are 118 discs in all with 100 for each individual film and then 18 additional discs with bonus content for Pixar films. Bess unfortunately also stated that these are HD transfers, and not 4K Blu-rays. Alas.

Still, it is still very much impressive regarding just how little filler this package seems to have. Scrolling through the list that was published by The Wrap, it has every single movie that I would have wanted to see, like all of the Toy Story movies, both of The Incredibles, The Black Cauldron, Frankenweenie, and Robin Hood, but very few of the mediocre direct-to-video snoozers that the company produced so many of over the past couple of years. I would really say that there is no filler at all, but I have never seen Planes: Fire and Rescue. Maybe it’s just as good!

Each volume as you should know folds out into a storybook-style presentation, with its pages showing poster art for the movies, their release years, as well as a character quote from each. The collection in question also comes with digital codes for each movie. (“Sorry, everyone,” you’ll say, “I can’t come out tonight because I’m claiming Disney digital copies.”)
