Diablo Immortal Release Date and PC Version Revealed
Surprisingly, the game would not be limited to smartphones alone. Diablo Immortal would be arriving on PC, and it would be arriving on both mobile and windows platforms as an open beta at the same time. Blizzard notes that the reason it decided to bring the mobile-first Diablo game to PC was the “recurring piece of feedback” that asked for the ability to play Immortal on PC also.
In a different blog post, the studio adds that it is aware that players would fire up an emulator to play the game on PC, so the decision to port it officially for the windows platform with some tweaks in tow. It seems like Blizzard is looking to keep Diablo fans busy as it continues the development of Diablo 4, which was delayed in November last year and still does not come with a release window in sight. It is actually worth noting here that both the PC and mobile versions of Diablo Immortal would offer support for full cross-play and cross-progression.
Mobile-First Diablo for PCN
At the moment there is no words concerning how long the beta testing is expected to last on PC, but whenever Diablo Immortal eventually leaves the beta Phase, all progress and purchases would carry over to the stable channel. Notably, the mobile and pc versions of the game would support controller input, however, typing a message in the game would need a keyboard, either physical or the on-screen version.
And for the very first time, Blizzard claims that a Diablo game would allow users to make use of W/A/S/D directional keys to navigate their way through the map. Diablo Immortal would retain the familiar left click-heavy button combo that has been a staple of the series for character abilities and movement, but Blizzard fleshed out the former with W/A/S/D key support as one extra method when it comes to movement controls.
And in other to ensure that the finicky gesture controls on a phone do not ruin the experience, the developers decided to include thick black bars on all sides by shrinking the UI elements that include the mini-map, ability icons, and top-level menu buttons.

The company has also decided to reveal that the plot of the game would be set between the events of Diablo II and Diablo III. The pre-registration for the Diablo Immortal is already live on this page for mobile devices, while Battle.Net will handle things on PC. Diablo Immortal would get released for iOS, Windows, and Android on the 2nd of June, 2022.
