If yes, you’re invited to apply to participate in BeChangeMaker 2024, the eighth iteration of the social entrepreneurship acceleration programme, which is sponsored by UNESCO-UNEVOC and offered by WorldSkills and the HP Foundation.
Overview of BeChangeMaker program
This program empowers young entrepreneurs, aged 18 to 35, to develop solutions that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The impact of BeChangeMaker is evident in the success stories of past participants. In the seventh edition held in Dublin, Ireland, five remarkable projects made it to the final round.
Among them, Altogether, an accessible justice mobile application and service, stood out as the most innovative idea. Second place was secured by Medvax Health from Nigeria, creators of a mobile application aimed at enhancing access to affordable medication.
Benefits of the BeChangeMaker program
BeChangeMaker is a platform for learning, growth, and collaboration. Selected teams, comprising 2 to 5 members, gain access to a wealth of resources, including:
- Online Training: Participants benefit from a tailored online training program featuring high-quality content from HP LIFE, designed to accelerate startup growth.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Dedicated coaches and mentors provide guidance and support throughout the program, helping teams refine their business models and strategies.
- Global Network: Teams have the opportunity to connect with a diverse global network of potential supporters, collaborators, and investors, amplifying their impact and reach.
BeChangeMaker 2024 Experience
From June to September, participants will have the opportunity to polish their entrepreneurial skills and refine their social business ideas. Through a series of online pitches. The top five teams will showcase their projects to a global audience at the 47th WorldSkills Competition in Lyon, France.
This platform not only offers exposure but also the chance to secure cash prizes to further fuel their ventures.
How to Apply

- Form Your Team: Gather a team of like-minded individuals (2 to 5 people, between 18 & 35 years), who share your passion for social change.
- Create Your Video: Produce a one-minute video introducing your team and the social challenge you aim to address.
- Submit Your Application: Designate a team leader and complete the application form before the deadline on May 25, 2024.
