Not Totally out of the Blue
This release date announcement is a really big surprise after Bayonetta 3 was officially given its M rating by the Entertainment Software Rating Board on July 12, which is a great sign that a release date would be arriving soon.
The rating of the game warned violence, blood and gore, partial nudity, and strong language. If you delved into the world of Bayonetta right before then you would probably be well aware that’s all pretty standard fare.
Talking of partial nudity, though, following the announcement of a release date, developer platinum games tweeted out to say that the game would include something called the “Naïve Angel Mode”.
As stated by the developer, this mode has been added “So more people can fully enjoy” The game. In the tweet, the developer explains that “by turning it on, you would be able to play right in the living room without having to worry about what would be on display on your screen. The tweet came with a video that shows the toggleable mode in action, by making things less risqué.
