Computer-making company, Asus has just unveiled its newest expansion in the Expert series lineup of laptops at the IFA 2022 event. The company is all set to expand its business laptop focus. That being said, the new models will now include the first mobile workstation in the expert series range alongside with its lightest 16-inch laptop ever.

This new ExpertBook B5 and the ExpertBook B5 flip alongside the ExpertBook B6 flip mobile workstation will boast 12th generation Intel core processors, EPEAT gold and energy star certifications, and also can even include a TPM 2.0 chip in regards to the enterprise-level type of security.

The ExpertBook B5 Flip

Both the ExpertBook B5 and B5 flip have been re-engineered from generations passed. And as suggested in its name, the B5 flip will be sporting a display that is able to flip and go all the way around. The screen, on the other hand, is a 16-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and it features a ‘garaged stylus’ thus allowing it another input mode for the computer.

This very stylus charge while stowed away has the capability of getting 45 minutes of usage in 15 seconds of charge. Inside of the B5 flip, there is a 12th generation Intel vPro chip with close to an i7 processor, up to 40 GB of RAM with Intel Arc A350M graphics, Wi-Fi 6E, and a RAID support

This very model is similar to the B5 flip as it offers a 16-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The B5 is the company’s lightest 16-inch laptop as of yet, weighing just under 1.5kg. Asus also offers the B5 in an OLED model. This OLED model features a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and it is also available with 12th Gen Intel vPro chips with up to an i7 processor, up to 40GB of RAM space with Intel Arc A350M graphics, Wi-Fi 6E, and support for RAID just like its b5 counterpart.

Expert B6 Flip

In regards to this model, Asus says the ExpertBook B6 Flip is a true mobile workstation that is designed for those who need extra power in a business computer, with architects, engineers, and product designers among the various targeted markets.

Also featured in this device is a 16-inch display that is fully touchscreen and flappable. This means that it can be used as a computer, a tent, or even a tablet. The screen has the ability to be upgraded to a miniLED, thus boosting the brightness to 1,000 nits, powered by up to NVIDIA RTX A2000 8GB graphics. It might also interest you to know that the B6 Flip can be outfitted with up to an Intel Core i9 processor, up to 128GB DDR5 RAM, and also up to 4TB of storage, all the while staying cool all thanks to the integrated advanced thermals.

For users that are creative, the company has worked with ISVs (independent software vendors) to fully certify the device in software from 3ds Max, Vectorworks, MicroStation and so many more.
