Assassin’s creed origins and for Honor: marching fire edition headline the release. As stated by Xbox Wire blog post, they would be made available to play on the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and the Xbox cloud gaming.

This marks the beginning of a new partnership between Microsoft and Ubisoft that the world got to know about back in April. The Xbox Game Pass Community Lead by Megan Spur stated that Microsoft would be “working with Ubisoft to bring even more incredible games to the Game Pass Library”, stating that “more Ubisoft Games will be coming to Game Pass” soon.

Major Changes Coming

The entire details of that partnership have not been fully detailed at the moment, but it could actually lead to something significant for the subscription platform. The service would likely receive more legacy titles, too.

At the beginning of this year, Ubisoft’s Rainbow six extraction hit the game pass on the same day of its retail release. If Microsoft can keep up with this trend, players would be getting more amazing blockbuster Ubisoft games via their existing subscription.

However, Ubisoft would not be putting all its pixelated eggs in one basket. In May, Sony also announced that it has also partnered with Ubisoft for its revamped PS Plus service. All the members of the premium tier would be offered access to Ubisoft+, handing them a slate of older Ubisoft titles to dig into. As it so happens that will include for Honor and Assassin’s Creed Origins.

At the moment, it is yet to be seen if either Xbox Game Pass or PS Plus would be privy to triple-A Ubisoft titles on launch day. Such a partnership would be very beneficial for Sony. The publisher has already stated that it would not be adding its own first-party games to the PS Plus on the day of launch for the foreseeable future, so any release day titles that the publisher would be releasing will go far to improve the value of the platform.

Xbox Game Pass Games for June

In the blog post, it stated all the other games that would be heading to the Xbox Game Pass this coming month. The titles include:

  • For Honor: Marching Fire Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) – June 1
  • Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection (Console and PC) – June 2
  • Assassin’s Creed Origins (Cloud, Console and PC) – June 7
  • Chorus (Cloud, Console, and PC) – June 7
  • Disc Room (Cloud, Console, and PC) – June 7
  • Spacelines from the Far Out (Console and PC) – June 7

These titles would make the month for all Xbox Game pass Subscribers.
