Apple Family Sharing
Family Sharing enables your family to share equivalent iTunes and App Store purchases, iCloud storage, and Apple subscriptions.
With Family Sharing, everyone gets their own account. So while they access the same iCloud storage or Apple Music subscription with others, they can’t see each other’s files or playlists.
What Is Apple Family Sharing?
Family Sharing allows you to and up to 5 other relations share access to amazing Apple services like Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple News+, and Apple Arcade. Your group also can share iTunes, Apple Books, and App Store purchases, an iCloud storage plan, and a family photo album.
You’ll even help locate each other’s missing devices. When relations join, they get instant access to the group’s subscriptions and content that are eligible for sharing. Each loved one uses their own account, so everyone’s experience stays personalized and personal.
How many users can access one Apple Family Sharing?
You can use Apple Family Sharing for up to 6 people, including you. Your own Apple ID can be used on multiple iOS devices so as to access purchased music, movies, apps, or books on all of them.
And after you reach the limit which is ten devices, including up to 5 computers, you would be required to un-authorize one among the devices to add another.
With Family Sharing, services are shared with multiple different Apple IDs. Each of which may be used on multiple devices. It can be shared to six different Apple IDs, that’s potentially sixty different devices. Which are six Apple IDs and up to 10 devices for everyone.
How To Access Apple Family Sharing?
A member of the family is usually the host. To access the Family Sharing service you just have to:
- Tap on your device Settings.
- Then tap on the Your Name option.
- And Family Sharing.
Now, you’ll create a replacement family group by either sending invitations to your family’s existing Apple IDs. Or by creating new Apple IDs for the under-13s in your family.
How much does Apple Family Sharing cost?
It’s free, but to share some paid-for services you’ll get to have an acceptable subscription plan. So, to share Apple Music you’ll need a family subscription.
