America’s leading infectious disease expert will reportedly retire from the government by the end of now president, Joe Biden’s current term, which is set to elapse in early 2025 as per Politico.

The expert when questioned if he feels obliged to continue to aid in the nation’s COVID-19 response, he explained he did not plan to stay in office until the disease is eliminated completely. “If somebody says, ‘You’ll leave when we don’t have COVID anymore,’ then I will be 105. I think we’re going to be living with this,” the chief medical advisor to the president said.

Anthony Fauci has been the director of the national institute of allergy and infectious diseases ever since 1984. And while in that role, the expert has advised seven presidents and also aided many public health crises and this is including the Zika virus, Ebola, HIV, and Aids as well as the recent coronavirus.
