About Youth to Work Program
The Youth to Work Program is designed to prepare youth to work in CVRF communities in the future. Participants are supported in the development of cultural skills and knowledge. Youth can also cultivate their leadership skills in the Team Lead position.
The program will have Local experts hired as instructors to teach the young employees relevant, traditionally inspired crafts and tools.
This action is expected to result to the passing down of knowledge and skills, and participants are equipped with enough knowledge to use and customize their crafts.
Roles
- Carry out an in-depth audit of the enterprise’s strengths and areas for development in; operations, finance or sales and marketing.
- To Develop action plan to help the enterprise to improve and prepare for growth.
- To Work closely with the Challenges staff and enterprise leadership team to deliver the action plan.
- To ensure the deliverance of capacity building sessions which improve the SGBs partnerships, communication and opportunities.
- The Delivery of key employment readiness workshops to university students.

Eligibility Criteria for Challenges Group Youth to Work Program Qualification
- Applicant must be between 21 to 30 years of age or 21 to 35 for persons with disabilities
- Applicant must Have an understanding of business and finance for business, demonstrated through previous work experience and/or hold a relevant university degree
- Must have relevant work experience including previous internship, voluntary work etc.
- Expected to have Good communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Applicant must have Interest in small business development, enterprises and entrepreneurship
- Be able to travel to training and placement
