Alpina as it is known as really knows how to make cars from BMW look really cool and have some extra to go with it. We have always loved the tuning products of the company and don’t seem to see much to dislike about it and most recently the 2023 Alpina XB7 that made its debut on Tuesday aside from its really weird headlights that are somewhat split anyways.
The Alpina as you should know builds off the X7 M60i. That being said, it means that it uses the new twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with 48-volt mild-hybrid technology of BMW. The total output is rated at 630 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, 37 lb-ft, and 100 hp. All this simply means that the Alpina XB7 can sprint to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds although interestingly despite the extra power, this only is a 0.1-second improvement in contrast to the X7 M60i.

All in all, we still love the new V8 engine. There are lots of low-end punches and the 48-volt mild-hybrid system lets the stop/start tech work effectively and smoothly. All-wheel drive is standard here, as is an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the Alpina XB7 comes standard with go-fast technologies such as an active limited-slip differential and rear-axle steering. The standard X7 drives like a dream. That being said, we are expecting nothing short from the Alpina, even with its model-specific (read: slightly stiffer) chassis tuning.
And of course, the Alpina updo is about overperformance. Styling touches and this is inclusive of those awesome 23-inch wheels with Alpina’s 20-spoke design, although smaller 21-inch wheels are available if you choose. The illuminated grille on the other hand has a waterfall lighting look, which ought to look rad at night, and inside, there is a unique Alpina glass iDrive controller, Lavalina leather, different wood trim, and many more.
The Alpina XB7 Order Books Will Open in September
The Alpine XB7 comes standard with very much of the optional equipment of the X7, hence it is starting at a price of $145,995, and this is inclusive of a $995 destination charge.
