ZAMREN is a dedicated internet service designed to fulfill the needs of academia and research. The service promised to promote the use of digital services for study and research by utilizing Eduroam.

All colleges and universities across the nation that are linked with ZAMREN have access to Eduroam Internet. In Lusaka, the capital, the most recent infrastructures to be connected are the East Park shopping mall and the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.

Plans to Extend to Additional Public Centers

Plans to extend to additional shopping centers, international airports, and maybe intercity bus stations are currently underway, according to ZAMREN.

“Our learners, researchers, educators, and students can go about their business while having coffee at East Park Mall or while they’re waiting to catch a flight at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport,” stated Felix Mutati, Minister of Science and Technology.

According to him, the implementation of Eduroam made studying and research easier and more convenient.
