Eligibility Criteria ​

To be eligible for the JPA program, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Applicants must be under 28 years of age on their first day of service.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent is required for eligibility.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the Bank’s working languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish) is a plus.

As an ideal candidate for the program, the following qualities and qualifications are desired:

  • Outstanding academic achievements that place you in the top portion of your graduating class.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, particularly in areas such as economics, finance, human development, social sciences, agriculture, environment, infrastructure, and private sector development.
  • Proficiency in English and preferably in at least one other Bank language (French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese, or Chinese).
  • A passion for technology and the ability to integrate it into your work.
