Season 4 of The Mandalorian is already written according to reports. Creator of the series Jon Favreau reveals to BFM TV that he wrote the scripts for a fourth season of the show while season 3 was in post-production.

The third season of The Mandalorian will start in the coming week, but creator Jon Favreau already revealed to BFM TV that he has already written season 4 of the Disney Plus Star Wars show. As of this moment, Lucasfilm has not yet announced the fourth season of the series officially.

“We have to know where we’re going to tell a fully formed story. We had mapped it out, Dave [Filoni] and I, and slowly you start to write each episode,” he stated in an interview with the French news outlet. “I was writing it during post-production. All of it has to feel like a continuation and one full story.”
It is especially important since upcoming shows such as Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew will take place in the very same time and period as The Mandalorian (the years after the return of the Jedi), thus meaning that their plotlines are very much likely to intersect in a much similar manner to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Disney on request for comment about season 4 of the series did not respond.
