Cardiff Metropolitan University will also support these individuals to attain their full potential and future ambitions.

The Sanctuary Scholarship Award was first offered in 2017 by Cardiff Met. University. It is a fully funded Program that covers the full tuition fees of the student for each year of the chosen course of study. In addition, the scholarship provides financial support toward study costs such as travel, books, etc.

  • Full fee waiver for the successfully Selected Candidates both undergraduate and postgraduate course

Eligibility Criteria for Sanctuary Scholarship Award 2023

Applicants must fulfill the conditions below to be considered for the Cardiff Met Sanctuary Award:

  • He/She must be identified as an asylum seeker
  • The applicant must have been granted discretionary leave to remain or Humanitarian Protection
  • Candidates must be the dependent included on the application of an asylum seeker in the UK
  • Lives in the UK under the Homes for Ukraine/Ukraine Family scheme
  • Reside within a suitable distance to easily commute to the university.
  • Candidates must not require support for accommodation and general living expenses.
  • Have received a conditional or unconditional offer from Cardiff Met. University for the 2023 entry.
