Revamped PlayStation Plus Finally Launches – New PlayStation Plus

Revamped PlayStation Plus Finally Launches bringing PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now together. the two platforms have existed, inconveniently, as two separate subscription services, both the cost at least $9.99 per month.

Revamped PlayStation Plus Launches

This made the ownership of the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 complete list of premium features expensive and unwieldy, especially if you are interested in returning to the classic PlayStation games from the previous generations.

New Playstation Plus

This is at least true when compared to Microsoft’s much simpler selection services: either $9.99 for the Xbox Game Pass subscription, or $14 for an Xbox Game Pass ultimate subscription that also includes Xbox Live Gold and offers support for both PC and Xbox game catalogs and even offers access to the Xbox Cloud gaming on a multitude of devices.

Sony has been working on several plans to catch up with Microsoft for quite some time now, sharing a brief teaser of the newly released PlayStation Plus subscription tiers all the way back in May. But currently, those very same tiers marked essentials, extra, and premium, in ascending order of included features and subscription costs – are finally available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners across America.

Sony might sooner or later prove itself against the relative convenience granted by the Xbox Game Pass. But without having to carry out the same promise of offering “day one” console exclusives to those that are subscribed to the lowest tier of its services.

The all-new PlayStation Plus could still drag behind Microsoft’s premium service when it comes to popularity. For reference, Statista has reported that in January the Xbox Game pass has Amassed up to about 25 million subscribers.

PlayStation Plus Extra Hits the Sweet Spot

One of the best available options for anybody looking to get into the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 experience without shelling out an inordinate amount of cash for games would find such an experience right in the PlayStation Plus Extra subscription tier, which launched a competitive $14.99 per month.

This tier is said to offer a catalog of about 400 PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games, which includes modern releases like the “Demon’s Souls Remake.” The service comes with the “Returnal” and Death Stranding: Director’s Cut,” among many others. The entire list as well as the subscription portal are available on Sony’s website.

Of course, it seems possible for you to pay the same PlayStation Plus service that you might have already become accustomed to; this is included in the PlayStation Plus Essential Tier starting at around $9.99 per month, and it is notably different from the PlayStation Plus of the old.

If older games do not interest you, however, you would find more luck with the PlayStation Plus Premium tier, which now incorporates the benefits that are being offered by PlayStation Now.

PS Plus Games

Granted Access to the older PlayStation, The PlayStation 2, and PlayStation 3 games have been further expanded upon, now allowing you to download some PlayStation 2 games whereas previously you only get to stream games across the network.

The PlayStation Plus premium is offered at a consolidated price of about $18.99 per month. You can choose to purchase a three-month subscription for $49.99 or a 12-month pass for about $119.99.
