Phone-making company OnePlus has had a really busy time at the just concluded MWC 2023, showing off a OnePlus 11 concept phone and allowing us to deliver a hands-on OnePlus Pad review thus revealing a OnePlus 45W Liquid Cooler. And with all of that, the company might just have saved the best for last.
In a panel that was recently hosted by Senior Phones Editor at TechRadar, Alex Walker-Todd, we got to learn from Kinder Liu, the President and COO of OnePlus that the firm is building its very first foldable smartphone and it plans to launch it just before the end of the year.
The OnePlus Foldable Will Land In the Second Half of the Year
The OnePlus foldable specifically is set to land in the second half of the year which is sometime between July and December.
Speaking in regards to the phone, President Liu said: “Our first foldable phone will have the signature OnePlus fast and smooth experience. It must be a flagship phone that doesn’t settle because of its folding form, in terms of industrial design, mechanical technology, and other aspects. We want to launch a device that aims to be at the pinnacle experience of today’s foldable market.”

So it now sounds like this will be a non-compromised phone, and also it will probably be very expensive. That being said, many of OnePlus phones including the OnePlus 11 are slightly cheaper than many of their rivals, so there is a glimmer of hope that the same might be true of the first foldable from the company.

OnePlus has not revealed any other thing about this phone for now, but it has however said that more pieces of information will be revealed in the next couple of months.
