Great news! Applications for the Obama Foundation Scholars program 2023/2024 at Columbia University is now open. The Foundation will take part in Columbia World Projects 
A new initiative in which faculty and researchers from Columbia will partner with governments, nonprofits, the private sector, and organizations to create solutions to world challenges.

The program seeks to capitalize on the unique opportunities for engagement that come with being at one of the world’s most important centers of research in the city of New York.
As a new initiative, the Columbia World Projects is a systematic way to bring university research out into the world in the form of projects. This project will have a significant impact on people’s lives.
Obama Foundation Scholars Program 2023/2024
Once the Obama Foundation Scholars Program is completed, Scholars will return to the regions where they have been working and continue along a path of service.
This program aims to help Obama Foundation Scholars to Use the skills and connections they acquire during the program and apply them for the benefit of their communities, countries, and regions.

Criteria for Obama Foundation Scholars Program Qualification
The Prestigious Program at Columbia University seeks rising leaders from around the world who meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must have a proven commitment to service and leadership within a community, region or country outside the United States,
- A demonstrated commitment to return to these communities following the completion of the program and apply for enhanced training, skills and connections on a long-term basis for the benefit of these communities
- Ideal Candidates Are emerging leaders who have made meaningful contributions to their field and are now at the peak of their careers
- Applicants must be sound in English Both verbal, written and spoken
- He/She must Have the ability and inclination to positively shape the future of their community
- A compulsory demonstration of commitment to humility, integrity, inclusivity, stewardship, fearlessness, imagination and teamwork
