The mafia gaming franchise celebrated its 20 years since the release of the very first game, Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven on the 29th of august 2022. And to celebrate, the developer of the game, Hangar 13 is saying that a new game in the series is in the works and also that fans and enthusiasts could get a free version of the game when it comes out.
Hangar 13 manager, Roman Hladik revealed in a blog post on Monday celebrating the anniversary that the next mafia game is currently in development. The manager, Hladik however did not provide any more details in regards to the new title, but however, said that it was a couple of years away from launch.

The developer of the game, Publisher 2K on Monday tweeted that the original mafia game will be available for free on the steam platform from September 1-5. The game mafia was one of the very first open-world crime games to make its way to the gaming world after Grand Theft Auto III back in 2001. You should however know that there are three games in the franchise with each of the games taking place in different and separate eras in various fictional cities all bearing a close remembrance to major cities in the united states.
