Monash University has announced the call for Applications for the Global Excellence and Mobility Scholarship (GEMS) 2023. Through the Global Excellence and Mobility Scholarship Program, Monash University aims to bring the best and brightest Ph.D. students to study at the University in Malaysia.
Selected Students are expected to work with top-class research teams on some of the world’s core challenges.
Monash University Global Excellence and Mobility Scholarship
The Global Excellence and Mobility Scholarship (GEMS) offers 15 scholarships annually from 2022 to 2024, and scholarship recipients will be funded for a period of 39 months.
Ph.D. student will each be supervised by a team of staff in Malaysia and Australia, hence, the GEMS program will include a paid placement in Australia for up to 12 months.

Eligibility Criteria for Monash University Global Excellence and Mobility Scholarship
- Applicants must possess a minimum academic qualification of First Class Honors (H1) or its equivalence (H1E) recognized by Monash Malaysia to be eligible for GEMS
- The Applicant must satisfy certain academic and English language requirements.
