The app is free and easy to use. Downloading Messenger doesn’t take anything out of you and can be done by following the steps below;
- Open the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- And use the search box to type in Facebook Messenger.
- The result would be loaded. Tap on the first one on the list to load it.
- Tap on “Instal”.
Messenger will be downloaded immediately on the device, you can sign in with your Facebook login details to use.

How to Get Dark Mode on Messenger
The Dark Mode is very easy to activate and it’s a convenient means while using the app during the app. It is as easy as reading ABC. All you need to do is to launch Messenger. Also, make sure to tap on your profile picture at the top. And toggle on the button close to the Dark Mode option. Toggle it to the “On” position.
Once this is done, all your chats, menus, and background would turn black. Should in case you change your mind and wish to change it, follow the steps to on but this time toggle to “Off”. If you find out that the Dark Mode is not available to you, you wait it rolls out finally. Or try sending the Crescent moon emoji in a chat to unlock it. Note, this option doesn’t sync across all the devices, that is to say, you would enable it with the same process.
