“Make A Ripple, Change the World” Kindness Action Competition College Scholarship
Kindness Action Competition College Scholarship. The seven days scholarship is awarded to youths with projects that promote ongoing kindness in the community.
To get this scholarship, you must have projects that can make ripples in your community and at the same time encourage others to gain knowledge, change their mindset, and have more kind behaviors even after you have completed the project.
Goals, Aims, and History
This competition is aimed to challenge the youths to be a force for good. The themes of the organization (SevenDays) are Love, Discover others, connect, you, Go, and Onward. The reward is for high school seniors who will take one or more of these seven themes and apply them to a lasting project that will start a ripple of change in the world.
SevenDays® was formed On April 13, 2014, as a result of the tragic death of Dr. William Corporon, Reat Underwood, and Terri LaManno who were tragically murdered in an act of hate at the Jewish Community Campus and Village Shalom in Overland Park, Kansas. The organization was formed after this tragedy to combat hate and senseless violence crossing cultures, races, and religions.
How to Apply
High school seniors who want to participate in this competition will have to write an essay that describes what they will do to make the community a better place. This will involve a particular project that can trigger a change in the community and uphold the values of the organization.
Essays will be evaluated on the strength of the impact your project makes on the community. The creativity and/or originality of the project and the longevity of the project will also be put into consideration. Writing skills will be considered too as they help convey the message effectively.
