Valve Makes it quite easy for you to enter the giveaway, but the requirement for the entry might actually confuse some people.
- First, you are expected to be living in the United States, Canada, the U.K. or the E.U.
- You are expected to have bought the game on steam between November 14 2021 and November 14, 2022.
- Your steam account is expected to be in great shape, meaning you are expected to have not experienced any account bans or locks.
- You are expected to watch the show via the steam Store or on Steam TV
If all these boxes can be checked, then the actual registration process is very simple.
- Head to the steam Deck giveaway promotional page on steam
- Then sign into your steam account if you are not logged in already
- Click on the blue “register” button
- Optionally, set reminders and then add the event to your calendar of choice
Once December 8 arrives, tune in, the show has been scheduled to run from 5:00 p.m. PT. and then watch out for your name to be called in the chat window as winners get announced. The winners would be reached out to via their email to collect their shipping details.
Other Ways to Hope into Steam Deck Giveaway
There is another method to enter the competition, and that is via post. You would be able to email in a self-addressed 4×6 note card with your name, mailing address, steam account name, email address, phone number, and the text “the Game Awards 2022 Giveaway” somewhere on the card.
