With the Facebook marketplace, you can either buy or sell to other users and account holders. Facebook marketplace allows users to freely list items on the platform for free. And when other user accessing the marketplace feature sees these listing, they can make contact with the sellers for business.

For a smooth usage of the Facebook marketplace feature, there are rules and regulations put in place to monitor the platform. And when you follow these rules and regulations you are sure to not have any issue with your listing or your business in general on the platform.

After making a listing on the Facebook marketplace and you see there are issues with your product message next to it, it simply means that it wasn’t approved. And why was it not approved? This is because it goes against the commerce policies of Facebook. And when it goes against the commerce policies of the Facebook marketplace, it means that other people cannot see the listing.

Steps to Appealing or Deleting a Listing on Facebook Marketplace

To appeal a listing on the Facebook marketplace that wasn’t approved, you will first need to review the platform’s commerce policies to see if the item is allowed on the Facebook marketplace. To delete a listing on the Facebook marketplace, follow the steps below;

  • Go to Facebook and click on the marketplace icon or option in the top left of your newsfeed
  • Next, click on your account and select your listings button
  • Click on the three-dotted icon on the listing that you want to delete
  • Click on the delete tab and click on it again to confirm
