MGG Academy 2024 – Details
The MGG Academy is a dynamic dialogue platform designed for highly qualified young professionals from rising powers and Europe. Their mission is to empower future change-makers with a demonstrated commitment to global cooperation and sustainability transformation.
Eligible to participate include citizens or permanent residents of Brazil, China, the European Union, India, Indonesia, Mexico, or South Africa, working in governmental institutions, think tanks, research institutions, civil society, or the private sector.
Who’s Eligible to Apply?
The MGG Academy welcomes highly-qualified young professionals who:
- Are nationals or have obtained permanent residents of MGG partner countries
- The Academy welcomes professionals between the ages of 25-40 years
- Work on issues relevant to sustainable development and global governance
- Possess a minimum of three years of work experience
- Possesses a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Have employer support (written endorsement required)
- Are ready for an intensive full-time program (40 weekly working hours)
- Demonstrate proficiency in English (equivalent to B2 level of the CEFR)
- Embrace cultural diversity
- Are open to diverse working methods

What number of persons are accepted to participate in the MGG Academy?
For the 2024 MGG Academy will have up to 22 candidates selected. About 2-4 participants from each country and the EU will join the program.
How may I prove English proficiency?
All common English tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), CEP, TOEIC, iTEP, UNIcert, PTE Academic, Duolingo English test, and EF Standard English Test, are accepted.
Having three years of working experience, is it a strict requirement?
Having 3 years of working experience will not be a criterion for exclusion, yet it will limit your chances.
Can I continue working part-time or full-time during the academy?
The MGG Academy is a full-time commitment, hence, Participants are not expected to work throughout its duration.
Am I allowed to bring my family with me to Germany?
The MGG Academy program does not finance or organize the stay of your family. You can, however, organize this yourself.
