Fully Founded IAS Scholarship Program 2023 for Developing Countries

To apply for the IAS Scholarship Program, you will need to indicate your preferred attendance type in during your application, and also the types of financial support you require for your participation. Although, due to high demands, the IAS Scholarship Program may not be able to grant full scholarships or in-person scholarships to all selected candidates.

The scholarship is open to Candidates who are at least 18 years old on 23 July 2023 and are working, volunteering or studying in the area of HIV as mentioned above. This is the 12th IAS Conference on HIV Science, which takes place in Brisbane, Australia, and virtually from 23 to 26 July 2023.

About the International AIDS Society (IAS)

The International AIDS Society (IAS) is the world’s largest association of HIV/AIDS professionals Founded in 1988, it has over 11,000 members from over 170 countries as of July 2020, including persons living with HIV, service providers, policymakers and others.

How to Apply for the IAS Scholarship  Program 2023 for Developing Countries?

  • To apply for the IAS scholarship, all eligible candidates will have to answer questions about their background, experience, and motivation to attend the conference
  • Candidates will also upload a letter of recommendation with all answers in the English language.

Eligibility Criteria for the IAS Scholarship Program Qualification

The IAS Scholarship is designed for individuals who are at least 18 years old on 23 July 2023 and working, volunteering, or studying in the area of HIV. The below-mentioned candidates will be given priority:

  • All Abstract presenters whose submission has been selected for the conference
  • Candidates from low- and middle-income countries
  • Candidates who are part of key populations and people living with HIV
  • Young Individuals and junior investigators below the age of 35
  • Candidates who did not previously receive a scholarship for an IAS conference
