Benefits of the DST Scholarship Program

The Department of Science and Technology at Flinders University will;

  • Provide fund to each scholarship recipients which will worth $5,000 and paid in equal installments after the census date of each semester.
  • For the duration of the funding, about 10 scholarships will be available each year.

Requirements  for DST Scholarship Qualification

  • The applicants must be Australian citizens
  • Applicants must have a GPA of 5.5 or above.
  • Applicants must begin the first year of the combined Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Electronic Systems and Security) and Bachelor of Science (Physics) degree.
  • Applicants must be full-time students at Flinders University.
  • Students enrolled part-time due to exceptional circumstances will be considered.
  • Disability, illness, or caregiver responsibilities are examples of exceptional circumstances. In these cases, benefits will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
  • The DST scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement. Applicants enrolling for the scholarship will be ranked based on their ATAR, GPA, or other entry pathway.
  • In the case where more than one student has the same ATAR or equivalent entry pathway, results in specific school subjects may be considered.

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) Honors—Electronic Systems and Security major only; Bachelor of Science (Physics) Honors—must be in the first three years of the physics honors degree.
  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Electronics Systems and Security), Bachelor of Science (Physics) (Honors)—must be in the first three years of the physics honors degree.
