The tech billionaire has been bringing back accounts that were suspended by Twitter for violating its rules against hateful conduct, glorification of violence, and COVID misinformation. He reinstated the account of former US President Donald Trump after polling users on the platform about the idea.

Twitter suspended the account of Trump after the January 6 Capitol Hill riots due to the fact that the social media platform feared that his tweets could get to incite more violent acts.
