Applications are currently ongoing for the CoalitionWILD EXCELerator Program 2023. The EXCELerator program is a comprehensive and demanding training program that spans over 6 months. It is designed to enhance the skills and leadership capabilities of young individuals who have conceptualized an environmental project aimed at addressing challenges within ecosystems, wildlife, communities, cultures, or livelihoods.
Project ideas can range from initial concepts that require further development to projects in the early stages of implementation, or even long-term projects with the potential to scale up. Accepted project ideas have the flexibility to be implemented in any country and address various environmental challenges.
The seventh edition of the EXCELerator program will take place from November 2023 to April 2024, running for a duration of six months. Participation in the program is entirely virtual and free of charge. Participants can choose between two options, based on their individual needs, expectations, and availability. The options are:
- EXCELerator LIVE program
- EXCELerator FLEX program
Program Details
- The program will use the Thinkific learning platform and will be available to all participants from November 2023 to April 2024.
- Participants will have access to 14 recorded sessions led by expert speakers, covering topics such as project development, management, fundraising, grant writing, and effective communication. These sessions will last between 30 to 60 minutes, and presentation slides will be available for download. Furthermore, each session will provide follow-up resources for participants to further enhance their learning.
- Discussion forums will be provided for participants to engage with one another. They can share the key concepts they have learned from the recorded sessions, ask questions, and also discuss their own projects and work in their respective countries.
- Downloadable toolkits and resources will be accessible to participants throughout their time in the program. These resources will be continually updated and curated to assist participants in their projects.
- Upon completion of the six-month program, participants will have the opportunity to receive an official certificate of completion. They will also gain access to global opportunities for funding and networking. Also, their projects and work may be featured on CoalitionWILD’s social media platforms and WILD Voices blog.
Program Requirements
In order to qualify for the program, you must satisfy the following criteria:
- Be 35 years old or younger at the beginning of the program, which starts on November 2, 2023.
- Have a project idea within the environmental field. This can be either a project in its early stages of implementation or a project with the potential to scale up.
- Possess the necessary dedication and energy to actively develop your project idea. This includes being available to complete the training in any of its formats.
- Have access to a computer and a reliable internet connection in order to access the program’s learning platform and watch the recorded sessions. If you are applying for the EXCELerator LIVE program, you will also need to participate in live sessions held on Thursdays between 12:30 to 14:00 UTC throughout the six-month program.
