ClearXchange – Make Payments and Receive Money Online Using ClearXchange

Have you heard of ClearXchange before now? Well, ClearXchange is the online version of a payment service named Zelle. Zelle is an American based company that is used to make payments and receive money to and from people in different locations in the United States of America. The ClearXchange platform is however now only used to receive money. This payment platform can be used to receive payments from companies and government entities directly to your bank account. The platform is now known as Zelle and their services are restricted only to those who are in the United States of America.

ClearXchange was initially launched in April 2011 and was owned by the Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Capital One and US Bank as partners. Then, it offered a person to person (P2P), business to customer (B2C), and government to customer (G2C) payments. However, in January 2016, ClearXchange was sold to Early Warning Services.

Sometime later in 2017, all the ClearXchange accounts on the ClearXchange platform were rebranded as Zelle and the users of ClearXchange were required to recreate their profiles in Zelle in order to continue using the service.
