The British Academy offers up to three one-year fellowships as part of the Global Innovation Fellowships program. Fellows will be hosted at Carnegie’s offices in the USA, either in Washington DC, or California. While there are no preconceived ideas about the disciplinary background of the award holder, applicants must demonstrate a solid understanding of the relevant issues, including the policy landscape and systemic challenges within their chosen area. Proficiency in relevant languages is desirable but not essential.

However, the program is scheduled for September 2024. However, for exceptional cases, an earlier start date of March or April 2024 may be possible.
In such instances, applicants must explain how they plan and manage their relocation on this accelerated timeline.
