Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants are expected to show must strong academic potential and financial need.
  • The typical ACT (or SAT equivalent) scores for Berea College students fall between 20 and 30, and they should have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.0 in a rigorous college preparatory curriculum.

Application Process for Berea College Scholarships

The application process at Berea College is merit-based and places emphasis on evidence of leadership. As part of the application requirements, international students must meet Berea College’s minimum English language proficiency requirements.

The following documents are essential for the application process and must be mailed together to the Office of Admissions:

  • International Application for Admission and Scholarship form.
  • International Personal Essay and Essay Cover Sheet.
  • Copy of official secondary school records.
  • Personal Statement of Financial Circumstances.
  • International Financial Questionnaire (IFQ).
  • International Financial Recommendation Form.
  • Two (2) Admission Recommendation forms, at least one from a current or former teacher.
  • The official scores from either: TOEFL, IELTS, ACT, or SAT.

Application Deadline

November 30, annually.
