About the APNI Scholarship Award

The African Plant Nutrition Institute; APNI Scholarship Award 2023 is offered to African Graduates in sciences relevant to plant nutrition and the management of nutrients applied to crops.

Ten APNI scholarships are offered to African Graduates with USD $2,000 to be benefited by each recipient.

The APNI Scholarship Award is usually made directly to the student with no specific duties required of the recipient. Amazingly, the Award will be granted regardless of the student’s current scholarship or other awards held.

Note: ideal Candidates are expected to be enrolled in a degree-granting institution located in Africa.

About African Plant Nutrition Institute (APNI)

The African Plant Nutrition Institute (APNI) is a non-profit research and education institute. APNI was founded in March 2019.

The institute is located in Benguerir in Morocco. It has a mission to develop and promote sustainable plant nutrition management and innovation through research, education, and extension.

The scholarship program of the Africa Plant Nutrition is aimed at supporting African graduates in science fields related to plant nutrition and the management of nutrients applied to crops.

How to Apply for the APNI Scholarship Award

Eligibility for APNI Scholarship Programme 2023 Qualification

Candidates must meet the requirements below to be considered for the APNI Scholarship

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled or attending a degree-granting institution located in Africa.
  • Sc., M.Phil., or PhD degrees Applicants must be currently enrolled in a program of graduate study as of the application deadline.
  • All M.Sc. and M.Phil students are expected to be in the second year of their studies.
  • Candidates who have already completed their degrees are ineligible for this scholarship
  • Special preference will be given to students studying soil science, agronomy, and horticultural science or tree crop science with a focus on plant nutrition.
  • Previous APNI Scholarship winners are not eligible.

Documents Required for Application

The complete application process will require applicants to submit the following documents in either English or French:

  • Transcripts of all university work, with the cumulative and final grade records (GPA or percentile).
  • An Electronic copy of two letters of support, one of the letters should be from the major professor. Please note that the Letters must be signed and written on official letterhead. It should also contain the phone number and e-mail address of the letter writer.
  • A short description of the focus of your thesis or dissertation research. This should be presented in a way that its originality can be evaluated plus its relevance.
  • Short description of any additional information that may be relevant to the award
