The Series Is Based On Penny Marshall’s Lovable 1992 Film
The series which is based on Penny Marshall’s popular and lovable 1992 film that starred Geena Davis, Rosie O’Donnell, Madonna, and Lori Petty is inspired by a real-life baseball team known as the Rockford Peaches who played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League back in the 1940s. The trailer showed the challenges that the players faced and this is including sexism and racism as they take on various hurdles so as to be recognized and taken seriously on the field of play.
