Sony Warns God of War Ragnarök Spoilers Are Already Out

In a tweet that was posted on the 30th of October, 2022 by Sony, it entails Sony asking anyone who might already be playing the game to please consider all those that are not able to commence their adventure at the moment, and should stop posting or even sharing anything that might ruin the fun part of the game’s plot.

The message moves further to advise players that want to avoid potential spoilers to temporarily mute any keywords or hashtags that could be related to the upcoming titles as a precaution.

Though if you really want to try and keep yourself from any of the spoilers, you can do that by staying off social media entirely. Especially as it might be hard for you to avoid content that is very popular and particularly if some trolls decide to try and get them right in front of as many eyes as they can.

A Store Sells “Ragnarok” Copies Before Release

It has been initially theorized that someone that has gotten ahold of an early review copy has been accidentally auto-sharing screenshots. Most of them entail more details than what has been publicly released up to that point. Now it seems like that may have been offering leaker far more credits than expected.

Currently, the precise details are yet to be released, but it seems as though a games retailer would start selling physical copies of God of War Ragnarok about two weeks before it’s posted street date. Veteran Series developer cory Barlog expressed that he was disappointed on the broken street date as well, apologizing to the fans to “dodge the spoilers” and stating “this is not at all how any of us at SMS [Santa Monica Studio] wanted things to go.”

Whether intentional or not, street date breaking is not supported to happen when it comes to digital releases due to automated date checks, but physical distribution is another matter, as it seems to rely on people working a thankless retail job being willing to sit on high-demand stock anywhere from a few days to a week or more.
