Eligibility Requirements for OCI Foundation Scholarship
FIRST-TIME APPLICANTS:
The requirements for first-time applicants Include:
- A Valid Government-Issued ID: Ensure you possess a recognized ID document, such as an International Travel Passport, Voter’s Card, National Identity Card, or Driver’s License. If you’re below 18 and can’t obtain a government ID, a birth certificate will suffice.
- An Official Letter from School: Obtain an official letter from your school’s Head of Department, including essential details like full name, gender, matriculation number, course title, level, and department of study.
- Certified Copies of Important Documents: Prepare certified copies of important documents, including JAMB/UME result certificate, Senior Secondary School Exam Certificate (WASSCE or NECO), valid student ID, recent passport photograph, and a recognition letter which must be obtained from the Traditional Ruler of your town, as a confirmation of your LGA (Local Government Area) in Anambra State.
- 500-Word Essay: A well-written 500-word essay on the theme “My Family.”
RENEWING APPLICANTS
For those renewing their OCI Foundation scholarship, the requirements include:
- Official Letter from School: Obtain an official letter from your school’s Head of Department, including details like full name, gender, matriculation number, course title, level, department of study, and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) for completed years.
- Official Result Statement: Provide an official statement of your results for the completed year(s).
- Change in Circumstances: If applicable, submit a letter detailing any changes in your circumstances, such as a change in department or withdrawal from school.
