Benefits of MBZUAI Masters/Ph.D Scholarships
Students admitted to MBZUAI on a full-time basis are granted the privilege of enjoying the following benefits:
- Full Tuition Fee waiver
- Provision of on-campus student accommodation
- Students will be provided with Health insurance and UAE visa sponsorship for non-UAE nationals
- Receive monthly stipends of AED 8,000 for MSc and AED 10,000 for PhD
- PhD students who are married may request to live off-campus and receive an additional AED 5,000 housing allowance subject to approval and submission of official documents.
UAE national students:
- Up to AED 30,000 for MSc (single) or up to AED 33,000 for married students.
- Up to AED 36,000 for single PhD students or AED 39,000 for married students.
Eligibility Requirement for Mohamed Bin Zayed University Masters/Ph.D Scholarships
To be eligible for the Muhammad Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- The applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, from an accredited Institution or recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education.
- Candidates must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent.
- Provide completed degree certificates and official transcripts when submitting their application.
- Show proof of English language ability by providing valid TOEFL iBT and IELTS academic certificates (unless waived).
- All graduates who wish to enroll for a Ph.D. must possess a strong desire to contribute to science and humanity by participating in research, scientific literature, and thought leadership.
- Applicants must have obtained Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degrees in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mathematics, physics, or other relevant science and engineering majors.
- A very strong background in both applied and theoretical aspects of Computer Science is required, with a minimum CGPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale)
- A GRE general test certificate is required for applicants looking to apply for only a bachelor’s degree.
