God of War: Ragnarök might get a November Release

A Report that came recently suggests that God of War: Ragnarök might get a November 2022 release window and it could be aimed at November for the release date.

God of War: Ragnarök might get a November Release

This report came from Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier that stated that, according to three sources familiar with the god of war 5 game’s development, it is on track to get a November release. Two of those sources suggested an announcement of the release date could come later in June.

God of War Ragnarok Release Date

According to Schreier, September was previously the integral target for Santa Monica Studio right before they shifted it to November. Given the fact that the game only has a Public release window of 2022, This delay seems to be more of an internal delay that does not require an announcement like the game’s past shift from 2021 into 2022 did.

As Schreier himself points out, although it seems like November itself is a great target “as of this week”, when it comes to game development and internal dates Nothing is set in stone. So, even if the God of War would be getting a November release internally right now, that’s no guarantee of its eventual final release date.

The God of War: Ragnarök has been scheduled to launch in 2022. When it does get a release, it would be playable on the PS4 and PS5 as a PlayStation exclusive.

God of War 2022

This report was made when there was quite a bit of chatter and speculation around the God of War: Ragnarök release date.

Recently, a report came from the PlayStation Game Size twitter account, it stated that the Placeholder release date for Ragnarök had been moved from September 30 to December 31, Suggesting a Q4 release date target of October to December 2022. November certainly would fall right into that window.

God of War News

Several rumors came that the game might make an appearance during the summer game fest opening night stream on the 9th of June but these proved incorrect. The silence around it has led some to wonder if the God of war: Ragnarök could be considering the option of pushing to 2023, with Gamereactor reporter that “several European sources” has suggested as much.

Schreier addressed this in a post on ResetEra, writing, “it’s hard to definitely prove a negative but someone who would know firsthand just stated that they have not heard anything about a slip to 2023, as did someone Else that might Know Secondhand.”

Finally, it seems like the time is ripe, then, for a release date announcement and, just as stated by the Bloomberg report, we could be getting one very soon.
