The virus can be prevented. By observing simple and proper hygiene, one can be easily exempted from getting infected. However, this guide will tell you how to go about this to prevent the spread and also prevent oneself from the scary virus.

  • Always make sure to wash your hands thoroughly and often with soap and water.
  • Make use of face masks whenever you are in public.
  • Always use hand sanitisers and make sure to carry one with you anywhere you go.
  • Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze to prevent the virus from being let out into the public.
  • Avoid contact or stand at least a meter from infected persons to avoid picking up the virus as the virus is too heavy to travel farther than one meter in the air.
  • Properly dispose of any face masks, tissues or handkerchiefs you have used. do not use one face mask for more than a day or reuse a tissue.
  • Wash any clothing used by an infected person with hot water and soap.
  • Always clean surfaces around you with disinfectants as the virus tends to stay longer in surfaces.

Observing all these would help contain the spread of the virus. This is why social distancing is been observed and most places that bring about the gathering of people are being shut down. This is done to prevent the spread of this disease and also to contain it.
