Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the 2026 Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a resident and national of one of the eligible Chevening countries
- Intend to return to their home country after the fellowship
- Possess a minimum of a UK second-class honours degree or equivalent professional experience
- Have at least five years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrate a strong command of English
- Not holding British or dual-British citizenship
- Not have worked for His Majesty’s Government or its affiliated agencies (including UK Embassies, British Council, UKVI, or partner universities) in the past two years
- Be free from close family ties to UK Government employees
Fellowship Structure and Learning Experience
Each international fellow will engage in a unique and personalised leadership journey in the UK. The structure includes:
- Two residential leadership courses with the full Clore cohort
- Non-residential workshops focused on professional skills development
- Participation in a one-day Online Climate Assembly
- A 360° leadership assessment
- A secondment placement at a UK cultural organisation, working on a live project
- Bespoke learning activities such as conferences, networking, study visits, and training
- Mentorship or coaching from a UK-based expert
- Completion of a thought leadership provocation paper to reflect and engage with key sectoral issues
