About the Role
Apple Device Box is currently looking for a meticulous and qualified Accountant to join their team at the Apple Distributor Store. The selected individual will have the key responsibility of handling financial transactions, generating financial reports, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related area, possess exceptional communication and analytical abilities, and possess a solid comprehension of accounting principles and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, such as recording sales transactions and managing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Prepare and assess financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for meeting obligations.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with store managers and company executives to develop and enforce financial policies and procedures.
- Keep product records up to date with the latest transactions and changes.
- Enhance financial status by analyzing results, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management.
- Process financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and prepare data and reports.
- Handle the complete process of sales and purchase ledger entries from invoice receipt to transaction completion.
- Reconcile bank statements with payment vouchers, purchase, and sales ledgers.
- Conduct monthly stock valuation, stock taking, stock reconciliation, and monitor budget.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reconcile inter-branch accounts.
Requirements And Qualifications
Applicants are expected to possess the following in order to be eligible for the job
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field is necessary for this position.
- 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a retail or distribution environment, is required.
- Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are important for this role.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is required.
- Familiarity with financial regulations is necessary.
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for Apple products and the technology industry is preferred.
Salary Structure Of The Job
- N100,000 – N150,000 monthly.
