Partial Scholarships for Latin American Students in Sanitary Engineering 2026/2027

IHE Delft is offering two partial MSc scholarships for students from Latin America and the Caribbean who wish to study sanitary engineering and sanitation in the Netherlands. The scholarship covers the full tuition fee of the 12-month MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development, which represents approximately 50% of the total study cost.

The scholarship is specifically designed for students pursuing the Water and Health Track with the Engineering Sciences profile focused on Waste Water Treatment.

Although the tuition fee is covered, recipients must independently cover additional expenses such as accommodation, living costs, visa fees, insurance, travel, and thesis-related fieldwork expenses.

  • Must apply for and obtain academic admission to the Water and Health Track of the MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development.
  • Must choose the Engineering Sciences – Waste Water Treatment profile.
  • Must hold a university degree in:
    • Civil Engineering
    • Environmental Engineering
    • Chemistry
    • Biology
    • Sanitary Engineering
    • Sanitation Engineering
    • Or another related discipline.
  • Applicants with skills or interest in mathematical modeling and programming will have an advantage.
  • Must prove the ability to cover the remaining study and living costs of approximately €14,000 plus travel expenses.
  • Must not already have full funding from another scholarship programme.
