What is the NTU Talent Scholarship?

The NTU Talent Scholarship is a competitive award aimed at students who demonstrate extraordinary talents in areas such as:

  • Sports & Physical Excellence: Athletes, triathletes, boxers, and others with national or international sporting achievements.

Scholarship Benefits

If selected, recipients of the NTU Talent Scholarship 2025 will receive:

  • Full coverage of subsidized tuition fees (after Tuition Grant).
  • Living allowance of SGD 6,500 per academic year.
  • Accommodation allowance of up to SGD 2,000 per year (for hostel residents).
  • Talent grant of up to SGD 8,000 (subject to approval, for AY2025 cohort).
  • One-time computer allowance of SGD 2,000 (for full-term awardees).
  • No bond required, except the three-year MOE Tuition Grant bond for international and PR students.

Who Can Apply?

The NTU Talent Scholarship is open to applicants who meet the following requirements:

  • Open to all nationalities.
  • Must be applying for a full-time undergraduate degree at NTU.
  • Possess one of the following qualifications:
    • Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level
    • Diploma from a Singapore polytechnic
    • NUS High School Diploma
    • IB Diploma
    • Year 12 equivalent qualifications
  • Must show exceptional talent in arts, sports, leadership, or community service.
  • Must have a strong desire to contribute to NTU’s campus life and strategic initiatives.
  • Applicants to the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine are only eligible for this scholarship as a mid-term award.

Selection Process & Interview Dates

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews:

  • Freshman Intake: Interviews take place from February to April.
  • Mid-Term Scholarship: Interviews held from July to August.

How to Apply

The application process involves two steps:

Step 1: Apply for Admission

The scholarship application form can be found at the link ‘Apply for Scholarship’ at the end of your online application for admission. You are required to log in with the application number assigned to you. Please select the NTU talent scholarship option should you are keen to be considered for this scholarship.
If you have reserved an undergraduate degree Programme in NTU, please log in here to access the scholarship application form.

Step 2: Apply for the Scholarship

Once you’ve submitted your admission application:

  • Use your assigned application number to log into the NTU Scholarship Application Portal.
  • Select NTU Talent Scholarship” when prompted.
  • Complete the online form and submit required documents, including:
    • Personal Essay (max 250 words on a set topic).
    • Referee details (someone who can validate your talent).
    • Portfolio link (optional but highly recommended for showcasing your achievements).

Note: Mid-term applicants can also apply if already enrolled in NTU.
