The U.S. Department of State supports this fully funded scholarship program through the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI). It offers exceptional students from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region the opportunity to pursue an undergraduate degree at leading American-style universities in the region, including:

  • The American University in Cairo (AUC)
  • The American University of Beirut (AUB)
  • The Lebanese American University (LAU)

The goal of the program is to prepare a new generation of young leaders who can contribute to positive social, political, and economic change in their home countries.

About the MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Program

The MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders (TL) and Tomorrow’s Leaders Graduate (TLG) programs aim to empower talented young people from across the MENA region to become strong, ethical, and community-driven leaders.

Through academic study, leadership development courses, internships, volunteer work, and mentoring, participants gain the skills and confidence needed to drive progress in their societies.

This scholarship provides full financial support to selected students so they can complete a four-year undergraduate degree at one of the top universities mentioned above — without worrying about costs.

Eligibility Criteria for MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Program 2026–2027

To qualify for the MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a citizen of one of the following MENA countries:
    Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, West Bank/Gaza, or Yemen.
  • Must be a high school senior or recent graduate (Class of 2025).
  • Must demonstrate strong academic performance and leadership potential.
  • Must have proficiency in English (minimum TOEFL iBT score of 80).
  • Must show financial need for funding.
  • Must be available to start university in August 2026.
  • Should demonstrate maturity, adaptability, and commitment to community service and civic engagement.

Benefits of the MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Scholarship 2026–2027

The MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Program offers one of the most generous scholarship packages in the region. Selected students will receive:

  • Full tuition and enrollment fees for up to four years of study.
  • University health insurance and on-campus housing.

Documents Required
